Blythe Little League (BLL) leadership invites membership to the organization’s annual meeting and local 2019-2020 officers election, to be held on Oct. 16, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Palo Verde Valley Transit Agency’s (PVVTA) conference room (415 N. Main St.).

“We had a pretty successful season, overall with the coaches, parents, volunteers and everything. There’s always minor issues but overall they were kind of minimal this year,” noted BLL President Troy Love, who helmed the staple hometown youth league’s 60th anniversary this past season.

The 12 offices up for election of the BLL board include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, safety officer, groundskeeping, players agents for softball and baseball, and more.

Any individual can be nominated to any position, but only membership is allowed to vote.

BLL is currently working on some projects to upgrade the baseball fields at Todd Park. Projects include painting the wood dugouts, coverings installed at the Alexander Field dugouts, as well as a foul ball net, refurbishing Todd Field’s two-story Snack Shack, leveling the infields, re-seeding for year-round grass, seeking grant and corporate sponsorship opportunities and more.

For any questions, inquiries, or more information, BLL may be reached via email at: blythelittleleague@gmail.com
