Blythe PAL present drive-in movie night at Fairgrounds: Special event set for Oct. 30, $10 per vehicle

The Blythe PAL (Police Activities League) nonprofit organization is hosting a special drive-in movie night community event this Friday, Oct. 30, at the Colorado River Fairgrounds (591 Olive Lake Blvd.).

Pre-sale passes are currently available at the Blythe Police Department (BPD), 240 N. Spring St., for $10 per vehicle.

The Oct. 30 evening presentation will be The Addams Family (2019), with gates opening at 6 p.m. and the movie scheduled to start at 7 p.m.

“Join us for a showing of The Addams Family,” states Blythe PAL. “Concession stand, including PAL burgers, will be available. Face coverings must be worn when away from your vehicle, please observe social distancing. Thank you – hope to see you there.”

Amid the ongoing COVID-19 climate, families the world over have struggled to find safe and entertaining outings and/or recreation to enjoy together.

The 2019 family-friendly Addams Family film is a computer-animated comedy starring Charlize Theron and Oscar Isaac in the titular roles of Morticia and Gomez Addams.

“(I)f all goes well, we will be planning on doing this at least once a month. Fingers crossed everything goes good this time around,” stated Blythe PAL on social media in response to an inquiry.
