The Palo Verde Historical Society & Museum volunteer leadership is welcoming families, friends and neighbors to the center this winter season – with hours set between noon to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
Located at 150 N. Broadway, the free Palo Verde Historical Museum catalogs and archives thousands of pieces from past eras for visitors to enjoy.
From local agriculture, the Blythe Intaglios, the airport(s), to this year's class of newly installed members of the Yellow Jacket Hall of Fame (Irma Gonzalez-Dagnino, Jeff Phipps, David Rowden) – the center offers an array of available historical documentation and pieces.
This year, the 501(3)(c) center is also officially offering $20 T-shirts for folks to enjoy. The proceeds from the funds raised will go back into the museum.
For those of past and current generations looking to explore and learn about families, public spaces, landmarks, staple hometown events, and/or historical figures, the Palo Verde Historical Museum offers a great start.
The museum's long-standing records include a filed index of newspaper and magazine clippings that highlight and chronicle the area's history.
