The Palo Verde Valley community and Palo Verde Unified School District (PVUSD) colleagues heralded several stellar team members in the months of October and November, with officials lauding over 30 all told.

“I’m excited to be here again to recognize staff members who have gone the extra mile. But I’m really excited because – we have a lot,” shared PVUSD Director of Human Services April Smith to the Board of Trustees on Nov. 2. “What’s really cool is I literally have people contacting me right before the meeting to make sure their papers got in. So, we’ve got a lot of people in our district that are really wanting to recognize people – and I just appreciate that so much.”

Ten PVUSD employees were recognized collectively; as noted by Smith, the following individuals were lauded for, “being flexible in less than ideal conditions:” Genny Hahn, Troy Peterson, Tim Jorgensen, Wally Grant, Nikki Slick, Devan Rhode, Eddie Naves, Jon Holquin, Matt Ward, and Greg Mendez.

“As you can see, we have a lot of people working really hard but we also have a lot of people seeing that; and being sure that we know that. So I’m very, very impressed with this and I’m super excited to be able to be here to read this to you guys tonight,” shared Smith.
