Sheriff's Colo. River Station arrests Arizonan on weapons allegations: Handgun, AR-15, high-capacity magazines, ammunition found

“Today, during a traffic stop Deputy White found a loaded and concealed 9mm handgun, an AR-15 pistol with no markings or serial number, high capacity magazines, and ammunition,” noted the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Colorado River Station’s official social media page on Oct. 4.

On Oct. 4, Riverside County Sheriff's Department – Colorado River Station arrested  Surprise, Ariz., resident Mochet Dominique Clark for an alleged felony violation of Penal Code (PC) section30600(a), possession/transportation of a concealed weapon, and misdemeanor PC section 32310(a), importing/transporting high capacity magazines into the state of California.

As further confirmed to the Times by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, the arrest followed a vehicle code traffic stop in the area of westbound Interstate 10 and Lovekin Blvd.

According to jail information, 30-year-old Clark's bail amount is listed at $50,000, with the arresting/booking charges' dispositions noted as “BAIL” and a same-day release date of Oct. 4.

"Today, during a traffic stop Deputy White found a loaded and concealed 9mm handgun, an AR-15 pistol with no markings or serial number, high capacity magazines, and ammunition," noted the Riverside County Sheriff's Department – Colorado River Station's official social media page. "The driver, who has a history of burglary, grand theft, and brandishing a firearm, was arrested and booked into the Blythe jail."

As of this publication's deadline, Clark has a scheduled court date for the morning of Dec. 7.
