Blythe’s St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church (875 E. Chanslorway) has announced the return of a staple hometown fall tradition in the upcoming 90th annual Carnival-Bazaar, to be held the weekend of Oct. 25-27.
The three-day special community event will include carnival rides, music and entertainment, food, and family friendly fun.
The first day, Oct. 25, will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature special health and safety education, as well as the crowning of the event’s king and queen.
Saturday, Oct. 26, will run from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., and will highlight a singing and dancing contest as well as a horseshoe tournament.
Sunday, Oct. 27, will be the longest day of the Carnival-Bazaar – from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. – and will include mariachi, singing and dancing contests, another horseshoe tournament, and raffle drawings.
As in years past, the special event will also organize a church fundraiser by crowning a Carnival-Bazaar king and queen — the youth contestants of which sell tickets in their pursuit of the event’s respective crowns.
