Two students at Twin Palms High School (TPHS) were recognized the first week of October as Students of the Month.
Earning the September distinction were Jose Ochoa and Trinity Fraizer, who were gifted Certificates of Achievement.
Ochoa, a senior at TPHS, arrived last year and continues to pass all classes – earning Honor Roll twice, and perfect attendance each quarter.
Currently, Ochoa possesses a 4.0 GPA (Grade Point Average) and will graduate this week with honors.
“This is remarkable and testifies to Jose’s tenacity and dedication. Even when things got hard towards the end of last school year, Jose persisted and showed great commitment to his classes,” stated TPHS.
High school counselor Javier Rubalcava added:
“Teachers are impressed with his focus, follow through and completion of all assignments. They also mention his positive attitude and willingness to help others succeed as well.”
Teachers and staff unanimously chose Ochoa for this honor due to his mature and respectful attitude.
Arriving to the school in January, Fraizer has earned a name for herself by being a student with excellent grades and a winning attitude. Making Honor Roll each quarter, teachers and students are aware of Frazier’s talents and skills. “I have been impressed by your consistent hard work each day. Your attendance is impeccable; (you’re) always on time and you are also a leader in class,” shared one TPHS teacher.
Another teacher stated: “Trinity is awesome! She comes to class, does her work and stays focused.”
Rubalcava shared: “This unselfish attitude of Trinity leads to a positive interaction with all students and staff. Trinity is responsible and independent. She makes the right decisions that lead to her academic growth. We look forward to seeing her take these skills into college and her job, where she will surely shine.”
