At 9:30 p.m. Oct. 28, Blythe Police officers on patrol found a silver BMW in the middle of an alfalfa field near 6th Avenue and Defrain Boulevard.
The BMW appeared as though it had been in a traffic collision.
Upon inspection, officers found two males who were dead, according to a Blythe Police Department press release.
BPD found that the BMW had been traveling eastbound on 6th Avenue at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle, BPD reports.
The vehicle left the roadway, struck a Southern California Edison power pole, and rolled several times into the alfalfa field.
Both occupants were ejected from the BMW. Alcohol was determined to be a contributing factor to this crash, BPD reports.
