Law enforcement officers and personnel from the Palo Verde Valley’s area agencies of Riverside County Sheriff’s Department (Colorado River Station), Blythe Police Department (BPD), California Highway Patrol (CHP), Riverside County Probation and the Post-Release Accountability Compliance Team (P.A.C.T. – East) conducted a day-long sweep operation Oct. 24, which netted a total of 37 arrests.

The “Zero Tolerance/Quality of Life” enforcement operation’s jurisdiction included the city of Blythe, as well as the surrounding unincorporated area of the greater Palo Verde Valley.

“The focus of this operation was to apprehend any subject found to be engaged in criminal activity. The goal of this operation was to improve the overall quality of life for the citizens of the entire Palo Verde Valley by arresting those offenders,” stated the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department – Colorado River Station. “In conjunction with this operation, personnel also participated in the National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, where focus was directed on serving outstanding warrants for domestic battery, domestic violence, violations of court orders, battery, vandalism, assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, and child abuse.”

Of the 37 arrests, 54.05 percent were related to narcotics. Suspects’ ages ranged from 20 to 69 years old. Those arrested include:
